Blog: Children Under 10 Not Welcome
Do you want this kid sitting next to you at a restaurant?
On the next episode of the Mom of None, the Not for Parents podcast, I discuss a recent decision by a restaurant in New Jersey to prohibit children under 10 years old from dining in their establishment. The restaurant, Nettie's House of Spaghetti in New Jersey, made the decision based on the challenges that come with accommodating children, including noise levels, space for high chairs, cleaning up messes, and the liability of children running around.
While some parents were upset by the new policy, I think childfree spaces are important and that parents should respect the restaurant's decision.
