As DINKs and SINKs, one of the top questions we are asked is if we will regret not having kids.    My usual retort is do you regret buying those shoes?

I came across an article from theriveter.com by Jessica Wakeman.  Now I don’t know if Jessica is childfree but she hits all the points about bias against childfree women at work.  

That’s the phase I get all the time when I tell people about the podcast - wow, that’s controversial! 

Is it though? Why is my choice not to have children the same as putting salt or sugar in your grits.  Now that’s controversial - I’m team salt by the way. 

Recently Tamron Hall started a series called “Candid Conversations” and the first episode was about what defines womanhood. 

Last week, I reviewed Michael’s book, The Narcissism of Small Differences which features a DINK couple as the main characters and I’m excited to have him as a guest.

A few weeks ago, Michael Zadoorian reached out to me asking if I would review his current book, The Narcissism of Small Differences.  I was so excited!  He said the book was about a couple who were childfree by choice and he thought it would be something my listeners would like.

I’m a sports fan and tennis is one of my favorites to watch.  I had hoped to go the US Open this year but thanks to COVID-19, I had to watch from home like everyone else.

I’m back!  I found an update of Kristy and Kyle!  Guess what! They broke up.  Hold on while I grab my shocked face. 

Hey everybody!  We made it to the finale and I couldn’t wait to give you my thoughts.  It’s time for Kristy to make the hardest decision of her life.  I kinda have an idea on who she’s going to chose but you never know until you know.  Just from the preview be prepared for a lot of crying!

On this week’s episode, Kristy gets to visit the cities of the last three men standing - Kyle in Austin, Marcus (the doctor) in Cincinnati and Stewart in Los Angeles.  Each guy will show Kristy their homes and introduce her to a few friends.  The theme of this episode is AWKWARD!!! As if this show wasn’t awkward enough.

I had seen commercials for Fox’s latest reality show but didn’t quite get the concept and thought it was another dating show where they added dates with babies to see what they would look like as a play family. I’m not really into dating reality shows. Project Runway, Making the Cut, The First 48 (morbid, I know!) are more my speed. A listener to the podcast sent me a message to watch this show and maybe do some recaps. I thought ok, let me watch the first episode and see what it’s about. Well I guess I was sorta right about the premise of the show but basically Kristy is looking for a baby daddy. We live in a sad state where men and women are willing to go on television to artificially fulfill this societal norm.

On today’s episode I speak with Evie. She’s a first grade inclusion special education teacher in New Jersey and of course she’s childfree. We talk about what it’s like to teach during quarantine without the added burden of homeschooling her own children as well as the Kid Free Five!
